CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Eligibility with Code
Candidates must be in their last year of a two-year Elementary Education Diploma programme and have finished Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least a 50% grade point average.
As an alternative, candidates who have completed the final year of a 2-year Elementary Education Diploma with at least 45% of the required marks (per NCTE 2002 Norms) from Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) may also apply.
Candidates who have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and are in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are eligible.
Those who have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) can also apply.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and at least 50% marks, along with being in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) are eligible.
However, those who have acquired the qualification of B.Ed from any NCTE recognized institution must undergo a six-month
Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of appointment as a primary teacher.
Candidates for post-graduate positions must have at least a 55% overall grade point average (GPA) or equivalent and be in their last year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. programme to qualify.
CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) Eligibility with Code
Bachelor's degree and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Minimum of 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE norms.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education).
Candidates who have qualified the B.Ed. program recognized by the NCTE are eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Additionally, those
pursuing any teacher education course specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 are also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
CBSE has released the CTET Paper I to V & VI to VIII 2023. Apply online from 27/04/2023 to 26/05/2023.
