| Educational Qualification:
3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education (NDT post-diploma qualification is a plus).
ITI in welding trade from a state-recognized industrial training institute.
Experience (for category a - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering):
Experience:
7 years of experience in a shipyard, offshore platform construction yard, or a registered EPC company in welding.
The last 2 years of experience should be in a supervisory role in the fabrication/quality control department.
Experience (for category b - ITI in welding trade):
15 years of experience in industries as mentioned above, specifically in fabrication and welding.
The last 3 years should be in a supervisory capacity.
Consideration for additional qualifications based on the number of welding qualification tests passed (positions 3g or above, base materials, etc.) during the welder tenure.

| Educational Qualification:
Minimum Matriculation examination pass.
Higher educational qualifications are a plus.
Certification in surface protection is advantageous.
Experience:
15 years of practical experience in surface preparation and painting.
Last 3 years in a supervisory role.
Shipyard experience is a valuable addition.

What is the UCSL Recruitment 2023 Selection Process?
For Supervisors (A):
Initial shortlisting based on eligibility requirements through submitted certificates.
PowerPoint Presentation (10 minutes) highlighting work experience (80 marks).
Assessment of work experience and presentation by the selection committee.
Shortlisted candidates proceed to the Personal Interview (20 marks).
Final selection based on:
PowerPoint Presentation: 80 marks
Personal Interview: 20 marks
Total: 100 marks
For Workmen (B):
Phase I - Objective type test and Phase II - Practical Test/Descriptive Test for Office Assistant and Booth Operator.
Weightage for final selection:
Objective Test: 60% weightage
Practical/Descriptive Test: 40% weightage
Total: 100 Marks
Shortlisting for Phase I and Phase II after certificate verification.
Minimum pass marks:
Unreserved & EWS candidates: 50% of Total Marks for each test.
SC/ST candidates (only for reserved vacancies): 40% of Total Marks for each test.
Rank lists are prepared based on eligibility, Phase I, and Phase II performance.
Tie-breaking based on trade part marks of the Objective test and age seniority.
