| Odisha Junior Teacher Eligibility Criteria for CATEGORY-1 (For Classes I to V):
Minimum Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Alternatively, Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or, Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with 50% marks and a 4-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Or, Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Graduation along with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Successful completion of the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-I (OTET-I).
Proficiency in the Odia language up to class-X or passing an Odia language test equivalent to the Matric standard, as recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
