Selection Guidelines
Selection will be in accordance with the Railway Board guidelines (RBE 120/2015, dated 06.10.2015).
Merit-Based Selection
Eligible candidates will be selected based on a merit list, which will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained in both the 10th Class/Matriculation examination (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination. Equal weightage will be given to both the 10th Class and ITI examination marks.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case two candidates have the same marks, preference will be given to the older candidate. If the dates of birth are the same, the candidate who passed the 10th Class exam earlier will be considered.
No Written Test or Viva
There will be no written test or viva (oral examination) for the selection process.
Training & Stipend - The training will be provided as per the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council. During the Apprenticeship, the selected candidates will be paid a stipend according to the prescribed rates as per the extant instructions. The stipend for apprentices in Indian Railways usually falls within the range of Rs.7000 to Rs.10000. Candidates are advised to check notification for more details.
Application Period: Candidates should apply between 28th December 2024 and 27th January 2025.
Online Application Process: The submission of the ONLINE APPLICATION consists of four stages: Registration, Personal Details/Education Qualification Details/Upload Photo/Signature, Selection of Options, and Payment of Processing Fee.

Instructions Page: Read all the instructions carefully on the instructions page. Download the detailed notification and then click on the registration option.
Registration Details: Select the state and district for which you need to upload your address proof. Enter your valid mobile number, E-mail ID, and create a password for future logins. OTPs will be sent to your registered mobile and email.
Personal Information: Enter personal details such as Community, Date of Birth, Name, Father’s Name, and Educational/Technical qualifications.
Select Preferences: Choose your priority or preference for Railway Establishments in South Central Railway for training. Once selected, this choice is final and cannot be modified.
Upload Documents: Upload a recent color photograph, specimen signature, educational certificates, and RDAT registration form in the required formats and sizes. Review the details before submission and click the submit button to finalize your application.

Q1: What is the application fee for different categories?
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS candidates is ₹100. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PH categories do not have to pay any application fee, and the same applies to female candidates.
