The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has released an official notification to recruit candidates for the 2026 Batch for a total of 140 posts. ICG Assistant Commandant (GD ) Exam 2025 Selection Process
The recruitment process for the Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant and Technician Engineer includes several stages. In Stage I, candidates must clear the Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT), which is an online screening test. Those who pass Stage I will proceed to Stage II, the Preliminary Selection Board (PSB), which includes a Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). Stage III is the Final Selection Board (FSB), where candidates undergo psychological tests, group tasks, and interviews. The final selection is based on the overall performance in all stages, and a merit list will be prepared accordingly.
Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 Pay Scale Rank Wise
The starting basic pay for various ranks in the Indian Armed Forces is structured as follows: For an Assistant Commandant (Rank 10), the starting basic pay is Rs. 56,100/-. A Deputy Commandant (Rank 11) receives Rs. 67,700/-, while a Commandant (JG) (Rank 12) has a starting pay of Rs. 78,800/-. The basic pay for a Commandant (Rank 13) is Rs. 1,23,100/-, and for a Deputy Inspector General (Rank 13A), it is Rs. 1,31,100/-. An Inspector General (Rank 14) receives Rs. 1,44,200/-, while an Additional Director General (Rank 15) has a basic pay of Rs. 1,82,200/-. The highest rank, Director General (Rank 17), offers a basic pay of Rs. 2,25,000/-. In addition to these amounts, other pay and allowances are provided as per the applicable rules.
